Elisabeth Turmo and Elena Toponogova include Madsen’s A Piece for Peace in their first album together. Violin and piano performances sit alongside Turmo’s solo Hardanger fiddle playing and a solo piano fairy tale by Nikolai Medtner. Speaking to Interlude in December 2023, Turmo explained that the programme brought together favourite pieces from the duo’s concerts, many associated with stories and folk tales. Quartz supplies the complete liner notes and a recording video on its album page. [1] [2] [3]
